In Preach My Gospel, Elder Holland gives this quote: "the first three hours of a mission will either make or break a mission." When we think about our lives, we all have been given the same number of hours. What we do in the morning makes the difference between what we accomplish and what we wish we would have done.In the scriptures we read:
Abraham rose early to stand before the Lord.
Jacob rose early to worship the Lord.
Moses rose early to meet God at Sinai.
Joshua rose early to lead Israel over the River Jordan.
Sameul rose early to meet Saul.
David rose early to do as his father bade him.
Job rose early to offer sacrifices for his children.
Jesus rose early to go to a solitary place to pray.
The people rose early to go hear him.
The women rose early to go to the sepulcher.
Joseph Smith rose early to ask of God in the Sacred Grove.
Are you like the young man in the picture above? Getting up early makes you ill?
Do you remember Ben Franklin's wise counsel - penned for the second picture above: "early to bed, early to rise, makes a man, healthy, wealthy, and wise."
Do you love to wake up and see the beautiful dawn (see the final two pictures above).
